Jason McMahon began his musical adventures interning at Quad Recording Studios in New York City. This internship led to a position as assistant engineer, allowing Jason to work with many recording artists and gain a true understanding of both the creative process and business side of the music industry. Shortly after returning to his home state of Ohio, Jason became an early investor in what was then known as Substream Music Press. In 2009, Jason bought the remaining ownership of the company, creating new distribution for the magazine and increasing the circulation throughout the US and Canada.  Jason remains president and CEO of what is now Substream Magazine, currently in it’s 10th year as a print and digital publication.
