Before returning to the Recording Academy four years ago, he held the position of Project Manager for NARM, where he was involved in logistics for their national conference, as well as a series of Entertainment & Technology Law Conferences.

Prior to NARM, he worked as a project manager for the Red Stripe Plane Group, an entertainment company that includes RSP Music Publishing- home to recent GRAMMY winner Josh Osborne and GRAMMY nominee Brandy Clarke- as well as Dusk Nightclub and the Newark Bears baseball team. 

Schulz was also President of Darkmark Management, and co-founder and COO of Same World Entertainment, a music festival production advisement and development company.

His previous experience includes Adjunct Professor at Drexel University, Business Manager of Studio 4 Recording; General Manager of Mastervoice Mastering; Operations Manager of Rufftunes Publishing; and commercial photographer.  

Schulz is Chair of the Advisory Council to the Philadelphia Music Alliance, home of the Walk of Fame.  He has served as a Senior Advisor to Music National Service Initiative and on the Board of Directors for the Philadelphia Songwriters Project, the Philadelphia Film Society, and Musicopia.  A certified Spinning and TRX Instructor, avid cyclist and coffee addict.
